Built around the Ugandan curriculum
IWAT School Solutions was designed in Kampala around the way Ugandan schools work. Grading follows the Uganda national curriculum and UNEB for primary (PLE) and secondary (UCE and UACE), and the lower secondary competence-based curriculum (CBC) introduced by NCDC.
Lesson plans and schemes of work use the NCDC layout. The calendar knows Uganda’s public holidays. Report cards show divisions, aggregates, grades and positions the way parents expect, and the head teacher decides how beginning, mid and end of term exams add up.
Fees and payments in Uganda
Parents pay with MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money into the school’s own merchant account, receipts go out by SMS through the school’s Africa’s Talking account, and WhatsApp messages through the school’s own WhatsApp Business number.
Plans are paid per term in Uganda shillings, by the number of learners.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best school management system in Uganda?
The best system is the one your teachers actually use. Look for UNEB and CBC grading, mobile money fees with SMS receipts, offline registers, local support and clear termly pricing. IWAT School Solutions was built in Uganda around exactly those needs, and you can test it free for 7 days with your own school.
How much does a school management system cost in Uganda?
IWAT costs UGX 350,000 a term for up to 300 learners, UGX 750,000 for up to 800 and UGX 1,400,000 for up to 1,500, with nothing to install and no set-up fee.
Does it support the new lower secondary curriculum?
Yes. The competence-based curriculum is supported alongside the older UNEB grading, so competence-based O level classes and A level classes can be graded side by side, each in its own way.
Is there support in Uganda?
Yes. Our team is in Kampala and supports schools by phone, WhatsApp and visits.
