About us
We build software that helps schools run well
Iwat Digital Solutions is a software company in Kampala, Uganda. IWAT School Solutions is our platform for schools: management, learning, finance, websites and a free school directory.
Why we started
We kept meeting the same people: head teachers who spent the last week of every term adding marks by hand, bursars who could not say quickly which parents had paid, and parents who learned about problems only when it was too late. Most software on offer was built for other countries, priced for large schools, or so complicated that teachers gave up after a month.
So we built a system for the schools we know: one that follows the Ugandan curriculum and UNEB grading, takes fees by mobile money, works on a teacher’s phone when the internet is slow, and costs a price a school can plan for each term. Then we kept adding what schools asked for: online learning and exams, payroll, websites, and a directory that helps families find schools.
What we believe
Phone first
Most teachers and parents use a phone, often on limited data. Everything we build has to work well there first.
Records are precious
Learners’ records are encrypted, backed up every night, and always exportable by the school that owns them.
Plain words
Screens and messages written for busy people, not technical manuals.
Fair prices
Termly plans by school size, no set-up fees, and a free trial with your own data.
