Learning management system
A learning management system that is part of your school, not another login
Teachers build courses with video, notes, quizzes and assignments; learners study from any phone; marks flow straight into the gradebook and report cards. Online exams, group work and Moodle are included.
- Courses built from units, lessons and files
- Quizzes and timed, secure online exams
- Ten question types, self-marking or teacher-marked
- Marks go to the gradebook in one click
What you get
Courses in minutes
Units for weeks or topics, with lessons, videos, audio, PDFs, links and YouTube. Drag files onto a unit to make lessons.
Built from your classes
“Courses for my classes” makes one course per subject and class from this year’s teaching allocations.
Learning on any phone
Progress saves itself, videos resume where they stopped, and work is handed in with photos or files.
Assignments and groups
Typed answers and uploads, comments and marks, and group work where one hand-in counts for the whole group.
Online exams
Timed papers with full-screen secure mode, warnings, optional camera, and results released when you choose.
Straight to report cards
Send quiz and exam marks to the gradebook as Beginning, Mid or End of Term, and they appear on report cards.
Why an LMS inside the school system works better
Many schools try a separate e-learning platform and find that nobody uses it after the first month. Learners need yet another password, teachers have to re-create classes, and marks have to be copied back into the school records by hand.
Here the LMS uses the classes, subjects, teachers and learners you already have. A learner signs in once and sees their courses. A teacher sees only the classes they teach. When a quiz or exam is marked, one click sends the marks to the gradebook, where they count towards the term total and appear on the report card.
Parents can follow their child’s progress when a course allows it, which helps families support learning at home during holidays, lockdowns or long illnesses.
Assessment that marks itself, and lets teachers mark what matters
Questions can be one answer, several answers, true or false, short answer, number (with tolerance), matching, ordering, fill the gaps with a word bank, essay with word limits, and file upload. Matching, ordering and gap questions earn part marks.
- Papers with only automatic questions are marked the moment they are handed in.
- Essays and uploads go to a marking queue where the teacher gives marks and comments per question.
- The teacher can change any automatic mark, then release results immediately, after marking, or by hand.
- Learners see their score, percentage and grade, and the correct answers if you allow it.
Term totals your way
Some schools add Beginning of Term, Mid Term and End of Term together, for example 20%, 30% and 50%. Others let End of Term decide the term result on its own. The LMS and gradebook support both: the head teacher chooses once, and report cards and positions follow.
Moodle when you need it
Universities, colleges and international schools often want Moodle. We run a shared Moodle server for you: press “Turn on Moodle” and your school gets its own category, accounts and courses, kept in step with IWAT automatically. Schools can also connect a Moodle they already run. Read more on Moodle hosting.

Frequently asked questions
What is a learning management system (LMS)?
An LMS is software for teaching and learning online: teachers publish lessons, videos and assignments, learners study and hand in work, and the system tracks progress and marks. In IWAT School Solutions the LMS is part of the school system, so it uses the same learners, classes and marks.
Can learners use it on a phone with little data?
Yes. Lessons are light, videos can come from YouTube or Vimeo, progress is saved after every step, and quizzes save answers as the learner goes, so a dropped connection does not lose work.
Is there a free trial of the LMS?
Yes. A school admin or head teacher can start a 30-day free trial of Learning in one click.
Do we need Moodle to use the LMS?
No. The built-in LMS covers courses, assignments, quizzes and exams on its own. Moodle is optional, for schools that want it or already use it.
Can parents see their child’s progress?
Yes, when the teacher allows it for a course. Parents see which lessons are done and the marks released to the learner.
